A Crown Slat Door happens when we take a Flat Slat Door, remove the weather seal option, and change the slat configuration from flat to crown.
Windows and weather seal are not options, but the unparalleled Bristol Door Quality is still there.
The Crown Slat Door has long been a favorite for hand chain operated doors that don’t require a weather seal simply because it rolls into itself smoother than a flat slat door.
While many manufacturers have abandoned the crown slat as sales dwindled due to the increased demand for a weather tight door, BRD has continued to offer this profile as it has long been observed that the slat configuration is stronger and rolls easier than a flat slat door.
